Lurrie Bell, NuBlu Band star in upcoming Mahindra Blues Weekend

The Mahindra Blues Weekend is back! (Get tickets!)

On May 6th and 7th Buddy Guy’s Legends once again partners with the creators of the Mahindra Blues Festival to celebrate the blues with a weekend of fantastic music.

The idea was born out of the Mahindra Blues Festival in Mumbai, which has become one of the largest in the world, featuring huge stars like Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo, The Tedeschi-Trucks Band and Walter Trout.

The Mahindra Blues Weekend is an offshoot, designed to spotlight great Chicago performers, and help forge a deeper connection with the growing audience of blues fans in India. This time around, the headliners are:

Lurrie Bell, a prodigy who was playing with Willie Dixon by the age of 17.

The NuBlu Band featuring Carlise Guy, a moving-grooving-shaking group with a tight rhythm section, lead by the powerhouse vocals of Buddy Guy’s daughter Carlise.

Here’s the full lineup:

5:30pm   Guy King (acoustic)
