Buddy Guy’s Legends is officially partnering with Gigity.TV to live stream blues shows from our stage to your living room! We’re excited to broadcast the blues around the world in a high quality, easily accessible way, and we’ve put together this FAQ to help both viewers and artists know more about what it is, how it works, and when you can watch.
Can I watch from anywhere in the world?
Yes. And you can chat with other people who are watching it, too.
Is every show going to be available?
Not right away. We’re going to begin by offering select shows the first few months, and gradually expand.
What if I miss a live show, or I fall asleep? Can I watch it later?
Every show we broadcast will stay available in our archive, so you can always go back later and see what you missed.
What is the cost?
Shows that are free at the club will be free online. That means the lunchtime acoustic sets, the dinnertime acoustic sets, and the Sunday Night Jazz Party. The rest of the shows will be pay-per-view, probably in the $5 to $10 range, but we’re still working out some of the details.
Can I watch it my phone/tablet/computer?
Yes. You can tune in from a computer, a tablet, or a phone (it looks great on iOS devices). If you’re worried that your computer might be a little old to handle it, you can see Gigity’s recommended specs.
How many times can I watch the show? Can I download it?
Once you pay for a show, you can watch it as many times as you like, whenever you want, wherever you want. But you can’t download it.
What happens if the stream fails?
This happens very rarely, but if you experience a problem with a paid broadcast, Gigity.TV will refund your money as long as the show meets these conditions.
Where can I find out what shows are available?
Right here: http://gigity.tv/BuddyGuysLegends. And be sure to check back often, we’re just going to keep adding shows.
Will the January Buddy shows be broadcast?
Count on it. Just keep your eyes open as we get closer to January, we’re working on some special stuff for those broadcasts.
