Blues legend Buddy Guy will be the headliner of the 20th Annual Seafood Blues & Jazz Festival in October at Kure Beach.
Guy is ranked No. 30 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He was a key influence on Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. A Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Kennedy Center honoree and five-time Grammy winner, Guy has been performing for 60 years. He personifies Chicago blues and has his own blues joint in the Windy City.
His latest album is 2010′s “Living Proof.” In 2012, he published his autobiography, “When I Left Home: My Story.”
The Pleasure Island Seafood Blues and Jazz Festival will be held Oct. 12 and 13, 2013 at the Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area.
Other acts at the festival include the Slide Brothers, Wet Willie and Randall Bramblett.
