Waiting for Buddy Guy: Chicago Blues at a Crossroadspublished on University of Illinois Press, traces Harper’s transition, from England to Chicago, where he rubbed elbows with countless acoustic blues greats facing a transition of their own–that of young upstarts playing electric gradually beginning to capture the attention of listeners.
