Buddy Guy’s Legends has partnered with the 57th Street Art Fair to bring two days of great live music to the oldest juried art fair in the Midwest.
The 57th Street Art Fair is a two-day outdoor celebration of the visual arts held in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, adjacent to the University of Chicago campus and the home of President Barack Obama. The fair typically features the work of 200-250 exhibitors. Most are returning artists, but each year between 50 and 75 new exhibitors are invited to participate by a jury made up of collectors, critics, curators and artists.
This year, the Fair is debuting the Buddy Guy’s Legends South Side Stage, which will feature two days of blues and jazz. You can check out the complete lineup below:
SATURDAY JUNE 7
12:00 pm-1:45 pm: Anthony Moser
Anthony Moser is a Chicago musician playing blues, folk, jazz and original music. He has weekly residencies at Buddy Guy’s Legends and the State/Lake restaurant. He’s performed with blues greats Jimmy Johnson and Buddy Guy, and is a producer for the seasonal one day festival Marty Sammon’s Blues Fling. A two-time finalist in the Chicago Blues Challenge, his song “Got It All” was also nominated for “Coolest Blues Song of 2013” by Big City Rhythm and Blues. His newest album, released in April, is “Anthony Moser & The Fat Tone Blues Band: Live At Legends.”
2:00 pm-3:45 pm: Nicholas Barron
Nicholas Barron is an American folk music and blues guitarist based in Chicago. Nicholas started playing guitar at the age of 15 and developed a knack for performing for friends and family. When Barron got older, he moved back to Chicago and started his music career by playing on the streets and in Chicago’s L stations. Barron has opened for many notable musicians such as B.B. 4:15 pm-6:00 pm: Mike Schlick Trio
Mike Schlick is not stranger to Chicago’s Blues and Jazz scenes. He is a talented drummer and has worked with countless artists and bands. Watch the Mike Schlick Trio.

12:00 pm-1:00 pm: Jones College Prep Band

1:15 pm-2:45 pm: Joanna Connor
Joanna Connor is a complete electric guitar package and vocalist extraordinaire. She covers the range of modern blues, slide guitar and blues rock with her own compositions very much influenced by funk, rock, jazz and world music as well as delta blues. Her sense of melody, phrasing and dynamics along with a very modern technique make her a very funky, soulful and compelling guitarist. http://www.joannaconnorband.com
3:00 pm-4:30 pm: Mike Wheeler
Mike Wheeler has been playing the blues for over 28 years.He did his first blues gig with Muddy Waters sideman Lovey Lee in 1984. He then became a member of Cadillac Dave & The Chicago Redhots.
