Are you a fan of the blues? Are you a fan of Jimi Hendrix?
Then mark your calendars. On Sunday, November 20th, Legends will host acclaimed tribute act Kiss The Sky – The Definitive Jimi Hendrix Re-Experience in a special performance highlighting the wild guitarist’s deep connections to the blues.
Hendrix, who once said that “heaven is laying at Buddy Guy’s feet listening to him play guitar,” was known for putting his own iconic touches on songs by blues legends like Muddy Waters, BB King and Howlin’ Wolf. This November, Kiss The Sky will perform a special “Blues Of Hendrix” show featuring “Red House, “Hear My Train A Comin’ ” and “Bleeding Heart” and more.
Here’s a little more about the band:
“Kiss The Sky is the premier, historically accurate Jimi Hendrix show featuring Jimy Bleu, the world’s longest running Jimi Hendrix tribute artist. Just like Jimi Hendrix, Jimy Bleu is a virtuoso, left handed guitarist and recreates all of Hendrix’s signature stage moves. Kiss The Sky is so accurate to Jimi Hendrix that on November 16th they will appear on the AXS-TV show “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands”. Kiss The Sky performs all of Hendrix’s iconic songs including “Foxey Lady”, “Hey Joe”, “Purple Haze”, Voo Doo Child and “Izabella” and features meticulously replicated 1960’s custom clothes, instruments and gear of those actually worn and used by Jimi Hendrix and his bands The Experience and Band of Gypsys. All of the musicians in Kiss The Sky are world class touring and recording musicians. In the past, Kiss The Sky has had the honor of welcoming to the stage with them Hendrix’s own Band of Gypsys and Woodstock band members Billy Cox, Juma Sultan and Jerry Velez.”
